Aerotel Mandalika located at Praya 15 minutes or 10 km from Lombok International Airport which for its consistent service and facilities has been chosen as one of the hotels to support the local government to house Hajj Pilgrims before embarking from Bandara International Lombok. The Airport will commence services for regular commercial 2013 but is all set for Hajj embarkation starting from September this year. As part of its support to the local government Aerowisata has recently taken over a stagnant development of a government run hotel and to transform it into a profitable establishment. Located 15 minutes away from the airport the hotel has 69 rooms and is ready for operation since September 2012 properly timed for the 2012 Hajj season. Before the assignment of Lombok International Airport as one of Indonesia's supporting Hajj ports all Hajj pilgrims originating from Nusa Tenggara Barat would be gathered and embarked from Surabaya Hajj Embarkation port. This will be the first and a milestone for the local government in providing a more affordable and efficient option for Nusa Tenggara Barat's 4500 Hajj pilgrims.
